By bidding, you are not entering into a contract to purchase this property. You are, however, expressing serious interest in the property and in pursuing contract discussions.
This means that if you bid on a property you do NOT have to buy it. Placing a bid on a property neither constitutes a legally binding contract or obligates the seller to sell the item nor obligates the high bidder to purchase the item.
So listing property on eBay is a means of introducing interested potential sellers to interested potential buyers.
